At the Learning Community we teach our children to apply knowledge rather than simply acquire it. We help our children learn through discovery and guided teaching. We encourage our children’s natural curiosity about the world and all it has to offer. We promote a climate of mutual respect, inquiry, and cooperation for our children, staff and parents.
LCDS is happy to be participating in the Food Allergy Research and Education (FARE) walk on October 3rd at Sherwood Island State Park. We would love to get a group together to walk that day and will also be collecting donations leading up to the event. We have set up a team webpage where you can make a donation and sign up to walk with us. http://www.foodallergywalk.org/connecticut2015/lcds
Don’t forget to wear your LCDS logowear at the event! A donation check made out to LCDS can also be left at the front desk. The walk begins at 1:00 and we will meet at 12:30 at the park so we can all walk together, just look for the green and white!
